![]() Outside da Lines by Angela Micelli Suarez Gold and silver and high dollar clothing, too Workin’ hard to consume the blues away. But what else are we to do? What are we to do (do do do do do do?) Homeless people walking down the road. Holes in their shoes with no place to go. So, they stop in at the local coffee shop. Fist to there check. And boy let me tell you they worry a lot. What are we to do (do do do do do do?) Most every town has a shelter for folks. Care for the weak and give a little hope. But I know folks who need a rope a little longer. Booze gets'm down. Crack wacks'm around. Thrown out places all over town. What are we to do(do do do do do? Try to put'm in a box of thinking tools. But their minds just can't handle all the rules. What are we to do (do do do do do?) Open our eyes and open our minds. Hand’m a rope outside of da lines. I know this is what I can do Human Bridge by Angela Micelli Suarez Walkin’ the earth uncoverin’ worth. Fillin' some gaps. Fillin' some cracks. Between the rifts unleashing men's gifts. Becoming a piece of the great plan for man. Human bridge one on one. Not just for some. But for all mankind to have a way To say it's time. Time for humanity to become one. One in spirit. One in mind. A bridge of peace. A bridge of hope. One to one. A bridge of rope. A human bridge. Those with money. Those without. All have worth. Have no doubt. Races and cases of poverty divide. But, when we share our wares of pride We become a piece. We become a piece Of the great plan, plan for man – a human bridge. Human bridge one on one. Not just for some. But for all mankind to have a way To say it's time. Time for humanity to become one. One in spirit. One in mind. A bridge of peace. A bridge of hope. One to one. A bridge of rope. A human bridge. Human bridge. Human bridge. Human bridge. Human bridge. Human bridge. Peace Be Still by Angela Micelli Suarez Storming through the back door flew tornado's spirit. Enthralled inside a flame of rage His light inside could not hear it – Peace be still. Peace be still, til the storm passes by. Peace is still, til it says goodbye. Peace. Peace. Peace be still. Between the rails of gloom and doom laid depressions body. Anguish riding a wave of pain. Her soul deep down felt so blotty. She could not hear - Peace be still. Peace be still, til the storm passes by. Peace be still, til it says goodbye. Peace. Peace. Peace be still. Peace, love and harmony. A piece of time sometimes Just blows the mind. So, peace be still. Peace, peace, peace be still. Peace be still, til the storm passes by. Peace be still, til it says goodbye. Peace. Peace. Peace be still. Songs of Long Ago by Angela Micelli Suarez From across the street I could hear strings and singing of Songs of long ago (x2) With a cigarette in my hand, I turned my eyes to see Strings and singing of Songs of long ago (x2) A short, browned haired fragile girl With squinty black specs And a voice that whispered With the wind caught my gaze Her way of expression dazzled me. She was pickin' and singin' Songs of long ago (x2) Soft and folky songs of long ago. Songs of long ago Brought my heart down to my knees And set my spirit free (x2) All of a sudden with his back to me Hippie shirt clad boy Joined her strings and her singing Of songs of long ago (x2) End the war. Bring the soldier’s home. Songs of long ago Materialism and greed Tell me are we really free? Are we really free? Songs of long ago speak to me x2 Bring my heart down to my knees Set my spirit free (x2) Songs of long ago (x4) Step into a Heart by Rose Marie Brumfield i could see tears welling up in her eyes. i could see her just looking up just looking up. looking up. i felt her pain because i could feel. i could feel everything in her eyes. Her eyes spoke to me When i stepped into her heart. i opened up the door. Saw all the corners of what she’d covered up. Of what she'd hid from everyone else’s eyes i saw all her pain. Saw all her grief. She didn't cover up anything With any kind of lies When i stepped into her heart. i could tell that she was disturbed. Her lips didn't move. And she didn’t utter a single solitary word. But, i could see her pain. My heart is how i heard (X2) When i stepped into her heart. You can do the same. You can feel and see Another person's pain, too. All you gotta do is Step into a heart. A Better Life by Angela Micelli Suarez One dark night in a old strip mall, my brother with a toy gun tried to steal it all from a jewelry store. Sparkling diamonds and yellow gold grabbed his heart and grabbed a hold Of his broken brain. And I know that it wasn't right. Wasn't right that he stole that night Wasn't right to use a gun, not even the toy that put him on the run. But he was dreamin'. Dreamin' of a better life. Wanted more for his little wife. He was dreamin'. Dreamin' of a better life. Dreamin' of a better life. Little sister called yesterday. Told mama what the judge had to say. The grapple came down in a hurried haste. The judge gave my brother his card of fate. Thirty years to lay and waste away his life. Now take a moment and look around. See the faces in your own home town, Faces of the poor. Homeless people and hungry folks, the downward spiral takes its toll On a bruised brow. And I know that it isn’t right. Isn't right people have to fight. Isn’t' right to have to shun not even just a little bit the lowly poor not one. 'Cause they are dreamin'. Dreamin' of a better life. They want more than a lowly life. They are dreamin', too. Dreamin' of a better life. Dreamin' of a better life. They're all dreamin'. We're all dreamin'. Dreamin’ of a better life. Wake Up by Angela Micelli Suarez She’s crying inside and dying inside 'Cause its time to rise up and let freedom ring. She wonders often and she wonders when Love will cover the earth? Till then, her voice sings. Can’t we see we all bleed red? Wake up everybody. Wake up the walking dead. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up Wake up everybody. Wake up the walking dead. She feels tears fallin' to the ground. Sees fears shadow folks all around. She wants to help, and she wants to heal. But, she knows the beginning is for folks to be real. Can’t we see we all bleed red? Wake up everybody. Wake up the walking dead. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up Wake up everybody. Wake up the walking dead. So, lets gut ourselves wide open and rip our masks free. Share all of our emotions and share our thoughts with peace. Can’t we see we all bleed red? Wake up everybody. Wake up the walking dead. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up Wake up everybody. Wake up the walking dead. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up everybody, wake up. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Wake up. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up everybody, wake up. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Wake up. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Wake up. Wake up everybody, wake up. Understood by Angela Micelli Suarez As I looked across the table, And as I looked across the room, I saw a teardrop fall. Saw it fall to the hardwood floor. My heart reached out again. I knew inside I could and had to do more. 'Cause I understood When emotions creep to the eye, Sometimes a person just wants to die. When our eyes met, we understood Each other’s pain inside. There were no questions or no whys. We understood each other’s hearts cry. We understood. (X2) I understood. (X2) People just want to be understood. Open your eye, heart and mind. I swear, sometimes, we are so blind, so blind. So today, this song is for you, For those who want to be understood. Just a few word of encouragement, You are understood. You are understood, understood, Understood, you are understood. | Return Home | What's New | Schedule of Events | Our Services | On-line Catalog | Great Links | FAQ Page | Contact Us | Download Page | Get Help Now | |
