We seek community members who are willing and able to share resources, expenses, community, cooperative business building, tears and joy. Pearl House shared household members share co-ed living space.
3. Your expressions of creativity can be displayed and marketed through our publishing service SPRM Publishing . We are expanding our services. New opportunities are being manifested as the MIM's Model is applied to daily activities. Give us a call and see what's up. You can give and receive within the ABOW Force , a part of our Extended Family Solutions Network. We bear the armor of the weak. We hold each others heads high. But, with God we stay meek. We bear each others burdens. We pray for one another. Our loads are lightened by each sister or brother. We stand in the gap. We help and ease hurt. Of the troubles and trials, we're all on alert. Each one is called by God. Each ABOW stands on alert. Each one stands ready to bear the armor of those downhearted and hurt. Perhaps, today you will join this force. Imagine the stress and anxiety you would incur if your loved one, the only bread winner in your family, became ill and could no longer work for an extended period of time. You have insurance, but your insurance plan coverage is limited; And, mental health benefits are limited even more. This would be a challenge all by itself. But then, your day to day expenses become a challenge to meet. Credit card payments become delinquent. And, medical/mental health bills start piling up. Welcome to stress city! Because you "own" a new car (with a monthly payment), have a little savings put away, and have some possessions deemed valuable (perhaps some family heirlooms), you will be entitled to little public assistance, unless you become, shall we say destitute. So, you begin the struggle to find help. Is this story vaguely familiar? Well, I discovered a little organization that is helping consumers and their families to help themselves. NAMI - National Alliance for Mental Illness is a grass roots non-profit organization. Its educational programs and self-help support groups are empowering families to seek recovery and advocate change. Slowly, fragmented services are coming together. The voice of NAMI is being heard.
